Well since you guys used to be so open with each other I would just go up to her soon & ask her if you could hang out like you used too. Try building up the friendship again since it kind of hit a wall for a little bit there. See where the friendship part takes you...and if things go smoothly enough go ahead and ask her to prom! OMG, Same thing is happening with me. We text alot, and say hi and stuff. I sometimes ask her to hang out and she says shes "busy" or something.
