The only thing that "grants" wishes is your willingness to work hard for what you want.
If you're wishing for something impossible, like the ability to fly, or an instant million dollars, nothing will grant it.

You needn't believe me. All you need to do is wish, and wish alone, until what you want magically appears before you.

(big clue: it never will)

think of the stone as a bank

Deposit energy into the stone by concentrating on it, meditating on it, perhaps drawing symbols around it, until it becomes valuable and meaningful to you.

Withdraw energy from the stone by making your wishes, the more energy a stone has, the more potent
