Hi! I just began my freshman year in college. I am living at home with my parents seeing as how I got to a technical school there are no dorms. I live over an hour away and my schedule is beyond crazy. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I have a 5 hour break between classes. I simply can't afford the gas. It's costing me an extra 400 dollars a month in gas. I drive an SUV. I need to move somewhere closer to school, but I have no job. I have been putting in applications for months. I got my CNA while in high school and I have no experience. I was wondering are there any scholarships or grants you can get that will help pay for you somewhere closer to live to school? Hi, guys. my BFF's mother is a legal Permanent Resident. Currently they're looking for a pro-bono lawyer but in the mean time i want to help her out.Her mom married a US Citizen (naturalized in 1995), in a 2004 US marriage, who also happens to be her biological dad (he left them when she was one, he had another family here in the US, and decided to bring them here after 13 years of abandonment since 1984, to cut the long story short).
Chronology:
2005 - Temporary Permanent Residence issued for her mom + herself
2007 - i-751, conditional removed, Green Card no longer temporary, expires 2017
2010 - The Mom wants to apply for N-400 Naturalization Citizenship
her dad says the mom can't be qualified yet because the 5-year mark begins in 2007 and not in 2005. they've reviewed the M-476 guides, etc. and cannot find anything that says this.
Now Wikipedia is not a reliable source but this was stated in the P.R. page without footnote:
"...this two-year conditional residence period counts towards time as a permanent resident for all purposes including naturalization. However, the application for the removal of conditions mthemt be adjudicated before naturalization can be granted to the applicant."
1. Is this true? Can she now start filing as a 5-year resident? When does the 5 year count begin? Do they count when the first temporary permanent resident card was issued which says "Resident since: 2005" or the 2007 year when condition was lifted?
2. Her mom doesn't want to file using the >3-year married to US Citizen / Gov't employee route as he has (YET AGAIN) been cheating on her mom and they found pictures of naked women, webcams, lingerie, condoms, and neighborhood accounts of the multiple women he brought home before they arrived in 2004. Sorry, TMI.

I applied for FAFSA in March. Texas Tech's financial aid office is busy so it was difficult to get a hold of them, but when I did it was in May. here's my situation....I submitted a FAFSA application awhile back and was approved for a Pell Grant. But school is about to start in 3 days and my mom hasn't received her W-2 forms from the IRS so i am not able to receive it yet. I am a US citizen. I am preparing the I130 for my Asylee status Wife who is now eligible to apply for her GC after the 1 year wait requirement. in question 16 we have to answer "yes" since at one point she was in removal proceedings. The order of the immigration judge was that 1) asylum was granted, 2) withholding of removal was withdrawn, and 3) Respondent's application of withholding of removal was withdrawn.. and appeal waived. This order granted her, her Asylum status. We have a copy of this order. Will this question pose any problems to process?And NO we did not get married during her removal proceedings. We got married about 14 months after she was granted asylum by the judge.

Ontario student loan for college?
Im going to be going to Seneca college for the computer programming course and im currently in the process of filling out a student loan application online. Ideally I want to be able to get as much money as possible to live offcampus with a roommate (currently the max for a 8 month semester is arround 11,000) but I'm afraid I won't be able to receive this much because of my fathers income.Currently my mom is unemployed and my dad makes arround 70,000 after taxes, but the only problem is that he refuses to pay for my college. He told me that only after Im finished will he help me pay what I owe to the government, but I read online that the government decides how much money you are eligible to revieve based on your parent's income level. So they will reduce the amount of money im eligible for a loan because my my parent's income and at the same time my parents refuse to help me out financially until Im finished with college.
Does anyone know if I have to include my parents income for the student loan because my parents are strictly refusing to finance me. I just want to be able to live offcampus because I really don't want to live on campus. Does anyone have any estimates as to how much I will probably be granted or how to raise that number? My first semester's tuition cost is arround 3000 dollars including books.

When I was a freshman in high school we did not have to follow the zoning program and as a now 5th year Senior, the zoning program still does not apply to me, I can go to any high school I want no matter where I live.I live in school district 205 and the school district I want to go to is 100.
They're not that far apart, maybe 10 miles.
This year we have a new superintendent and she says that 5th year Seniors can not go to their original home high school anymore this year and have to attend the only available 'alternative adult high school' in town.
Well, when I apply to college, this will not look good on my application and I may also possibly get less money on scholarships and grants. As this school is for bad misbehaving kids and kids who are not as smart.
I could very well go to a private school but the thing is that I'm poor and I don't really want to go to a private school as the only private schools around here are denomination with Christianity.

So basically, rape is the result of “Nice” Guy’s frustration when he is refused something that he would be granted if he had submitted a proper application for it. And there’s a word for something that is meant to be granted upon proper application: entitlement.
That’s the whole problem with “Nice” Guys. They feel like they’re entitled to sex with women, but don’t know how to “get” women to have sex with them. So you “Nice” Guys aren’t so nice. You’re more like the jerks that you accuse women of liking.
